The Barefoot PA is an Australian woman, married and living with her husband on the beachy northern side of Sydney, New South Wales.
Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1998, she continued working full-time until 2014 when the disease began to make travel difficult.
With the luxury of extra free time, she began focusing on her writing, a talent many had praised her for over the years. Publication of an article, the first she’d submitted, spurred her on and today she says ‘I have MS but that’s not what I’m all about. Of course I write about MS, it’s hard not to! But I’m a woman, a wife, a mum, a human being like everybody else and I have a life, I live it every day and before MS I was living it too – I have opinions, thoughts and some incredible but genuine experiences and I enjoy sharing all of those’.
Through thebarefootpa.com she hopes to reach many people, all sorts, colours and shapes of people – and over time just to perhaps start conversations, connect or even inspire – ‘there’s such a disconnect these days and I’m just doing my little bit, hoping to establish connections between people – it’s a huge thing, all I can do is what I can, and I CAN do this much …’
